Electric charge is a characteristics that accompanies fundamental particles wherever they exist. According to William Gilbert Charge is sometime possessed by material object that makes it possible for them to exert electrical force and to respond to electrical force.
The three most common elementary particles are electron proton and neutron having masses. because of their mass these particles attract one another by gravitational forces. Thus, an electron attract another electron at a distance of 1 cm with a gravitational force.
